Needs saving? (Of course!)

This morning I was greeted by my colleague with pamphlet about their religion and a book explaining the differences between Baptist from the Catholic faith. My immediate reaction was, Awww he cares for my soul... No kidding, I was touched. But this is not the first time this happened to me though. Last last year, I received books about Jehovah's Witness from a good friend. And last year, I received a Mormon bible from another good friend. Oh well this can turn out to be a collection. In no time I will cover all religions.

Seriously people, is there a sign written all over my wide (yeah literally massive, pang Miss Universe) forehead saying "URGENT! NEEDS SAVING FROM ETERNAL DAMNATION."?!?

I am a Catholic because I had no choice to be baptized as one. Honestly, I do wonder if I remain this way because I wholeheartedly believe the teachings of the church or is it because I'm used to being Catholic, I just don't want to trouble myself learning a new faith? But what if I explore? Maybe there's another faith out there that might suit me, in which I can express more effectively my love for Him. Oh well who knows, I might be converted to a new religion someday. How about Born Again? Para bro and sis ko na sila Gary V., Donita... hihihi

These are interesting links. All religions, not only Jehovah's Witness, have their faults. They're all managed by humans after all. So all are prone to the error of humans inaccurately interpreting the teachings of the bible. No religion/faith is perfect. But I do believe one can find a faith that he'll be most at home with, most comfortable to practice and willing to die for.

ako di ko mutuo na magpaconvert ko sa religion na asa mubagay sa ako lifestyle, ako mustick japon ko sa catholicism even if i know i have miserably failed the church with the bad things i did.for me lifestyle comes after religion not religion following your lifestyle kay it defeats the purpose of it guiding your human life. wala lang kacharingan lang.

Aw spam diay ni? Hahaha sorry sorry tao lamang! Abi nako true man gud.

And Nero's Wrath, I agree that lifestyle comes after faith. I didn't mean about choosing religion based on one's lifestyle. What I meant was choosing religion whose teachings/interpretations of the bible you most agree with. We should live by the word of God, not rely solely on an institution. I don't agree that being a Catholic is the only way. It's wrong to presume that only one's religion guarantees salvation.

I guess you really don't know your true religion. Perhaps you need to know deeply your own Catholic faith before entertaining others. Your answers are all there, in many Catholic communities, laymen etc, who takes time to let you understand, not in the catholic church itself. May God bless you and guide you in your seeking. Always see to it not to drop Mama Mary...
